Project description
Company of the "Skonto Group", namely – company "Skonto Prefab" has completed construction work on a project in Pinki town, where an international college with a dormitory hotel on three floors, was built. The project is in line with the latest construction sustainability trends. The building constructions are made of Cross-glued timber (CLT) wooden panels and glued wooden beams, which is the first time these construction products have been used in Latvia in such a large amount and in a public object. "Skonto Prefab" manufactured CLT constructions for the college, supplied glued wooden beams or Glulam, and provided assembly consultations on CLT/Glulam.
The total value of the international college is 10.1 mln. euros and the total area of the building is 7,011 m2. The college plans to start work in the new academic year, it can accommodate 500 students at a time, but the dormitory hotel can accommodate 100 people.
